For those of you who have not heard, Rae and the kids and I are relocating to the Corpus Christi area next week. We will miss all of our North Texas family and friends, especially our Grapevine Ford/DFWMustangs.net family. We wish all of you the best and please stay in touch!!!!!!

It's where my stepkids were in school and had grown up before we got custody of them. It's in their best interests to finish up through high school down there and so we decided as a family to move. In 5 years....who knows....but for now...Corpus it is!!!!

Good luck in the next adventure! If you like fishing, you will love it down there. We survived 5 years in Portland Texas. Then decided to move back up here where there is something besides beach, fishing and sea film covering everything.

Winter weather (although wearing shorts at Christmas seems odd)
Portland was a small area so it seemed very safe
Portland is growing fast
No traffic to speak of in Portland
Hurications- (hurricane evacuation/vacation)


Dislikes
Horrible roads in Corpus
Horrible traffic in Corpus
Horrible horrible horrible drivers in Corpus
Took a while to slow down to the speed of life around the coast
Can't keep a car clean due to sea film
Humidity
Wind....more wind and then it gets windy
Just felt like we moved back in time 10 years or so
