I remember when I was a kid, I had a fight comming up with another neighborhood kid. We each had a week to prepair and I decided to get up every morning and workout with Jack to win the fight. It worked!

check out this email from my mother in law. my wife sent her the email about him dying and this was her response. she apparently knew him in the 1960's.
i laughed hardest about her "working in Hollywood for Dick".
Yes, I saw that. It's about time. I read all the "glowing" reports about him and it made me almost puke. Sorry, but I have never liked him.
He was a tenant of Darlene and Dick's when I was working in Hollywood for Dick. He rented the penthouse apt. over our real estate office. There were 2 ways to get to his apt. One was up the back stairs off the ally and the other was to enter our front door off Hollywood Blvd. He used this one frequently when he entertained special friends. They would actually walk through our offices and use the small elevator at the back to go up to his apt. After a couple of years, we had to evict him for non-payment. Darlene and Dick asked me if I wanted to help them clean up the place and get it ready to lease again and I said sure. When we entered the apt. it was a mess. He left behind whatever he didn't want. We found a large quantity of black and white pictures taken of him with all these other body builders, some in very vulgar and intimate positions/poses! It was gross!!! They had hairless bodies and it looked like they had greased their bodies with vaseline or something and they were in various sexually explicit positions. We destroyed most of them but Darlene decided to keep a few of them. She thought they might be of value some day (ha).
She kept them hidden under her bed in a box where nobody could find them (or so she thought). She caught 6 yr old Jayne hurrying out the door early one morning with a suspicious brown envelope tucked under her arm. Jayne was not one who liked to go to school, so the fact that she seemed excited and in a hurry to leave, got her Mom's attention. When she stopped her and asked her why she was in such a hurry and what she had in the envelope, Jayne said: "Oh Mom, I have something nobody else has ever brought for 'Show-N-Tell" and it is going to be so cool." Darlene checked the envelope and Yep....somehow Jayne had found those naked photos of Jack LaLanne and his boys. Thankfully, Darlene caught her. Can only imagine the trouble it would have caused. Imagine what would happen today? It was unbelievable.
Apparently he lived a secret life, at least for awhile. I believe this happened before he was married to his current wife, so hopefully, he changed. But for us, we will never forget it and it left a sour taste in our mouths.Comment
