Out of the two, I'd say the Iphone but only because the battery life on HTC products in general is horrible. I have a friend who swears up and down the EVO is the end all of phones, and that the apple sheeple need to get their heads out of their asses.

Then he goes home and gets on his apple computer.

            Just my $.02.
I am in total agreeance with Lea! EVO rocks!

Does anyone with an iPhone (3 or 4) actually use more than 5 gigs a month? I'm not even close, but I don't stream movies all day either. I mostly talk, text and surf the internetz.

My Girlfriend has been and Iphone fan forever until we moved to Utah, AT&T has HORRIBLE service here so I added her to my plan and got her the Evo, So far she loves it, shes fixing to root it and start with the mods like she did her Iphone. Phone is pretty awesome IMO.

iPhone. These days every new and "revolutionary" smart phone that comes out is just a footnote to the iPhone.

It is here to stay, there is a well developed infrastructure as far as application development and distribution, and service can be performed at any apple store (not that much servicing is required).

Seems like every other week someone posts a "should I get the iPhone, or (insert latest competitor here)." Way I see it is that when the iPod was big, everyone was asking the same thing about it and its competitors, and now everyone with a Zune or some such device has bought an iPod.

Iphone for me. Two of the stereo systems in my house have Iphone/Ipod docks so I can listen to my tunes, charge the unit, and control it from my remote. I also have an Ihome clock radio on my nightstand, so I just set it there at night and it's full charged and ready to go in the morning, after I wake up to a song from a specific playlist I have set up to get my ass out of bed. Also, every vehicle at my home has an Ipod cable to charge the unit and play it through the car stereo, and I can control it using my touch screens.

I've never had complaints about my Iphone 3g other than it is much slower than my gf's 3gs. The fact that there are tons of other products and accessories made specifically to work with the Iphone makes it an easy choice for me. I'll be upgrading to the 4 as soon as a Best Buy near me gets some in.

I don't know anything about the EVO, but if it is for use on the Sprint network - no thanks!

I have an Evo and like it. Now I have had to do a hard reset 3 times in the past year but it not a big deal. Everything is backed up on your Google act. Most Free apps on evo are not free on iPhone .
But iPhone still has more apps.

Battery life on Evo does suck .

Evo no competition!! HD camcorder, HDMI jack, EVO screen is bigger, brighter and more colorful, Android is still just getting started and has way more potential for customization/FREE Apps than the Iphone OS. 4G, etc

I use around 4 GB a month. I stream radio 8 hours a day Monday through Friday and RDP and Facebook and surf the webz quite a bit too.

The iPhone is no longer the clear leader it once was.
