Vegas has quickly become a place for fine dining with some of the top name chefs in the world there, including sushi chefs. *hint hint*
It's a little early in the year for anything at Lake Meade, but alot of fun can be had there too. With a group like you are going with, everyone can chip in and rent different types of boats out there. The lake is amazing when the weather is nice. You could also rent four wheelers, buggies, atv's and all that if you guys wanted to tear up the desert abit.
Mmmmm, sushi! We will definitely have to do that and the Lake thing sounds like a blast!
My brother lives out in Henderson county... He's a club promoter for Tao. If any of you want the hook up he's the guy to go to. No, not hookers and blow either.
He's actually an old board member so I'm sure he would be glad to hook everyone up.
I did come across something I would really like to do along those same lines.. They have buggy chases you can do. It's like $100 for an hour but supposedly it's an hour with the pedal floored. The "guide" is in the lead and basically you just trying and keep up in a follow-the-leader type deal. Looks really fun.
A couple of years ago we rented a Jeep and spent an entire day out in the desert. It was a solid 8 hours or so of trails and offroad stuff. That was probably the best time I have had in Vegas (aside from getting married of course ).

That sounds like alot of fun! Some of those buggies flat out haul ass across that sand.
I dig that kind of trip you guys are thinking of rather than the usual waste away at a table in a drunken stupor watching the kids college fund go to shit kind of trip. lol.
I know you guys are trying to do it on the cheap, but if you can swing it you should consider at least picking out one of the amazing restaraunts there now. Vegas has quickly become a place for fine dining with some of the top name chefs in the world there, including sushi chefs. *hint hint*

LOL, typically thats what a local will tell you. My brother probably hasn't been near the strip in 7 or 8 years.
I've got a good friend in, Henderson, is it? He grew up there, as his Dad is the Hilton's personal pilot. He's about 36 or so now, and hasn't been to the strip since he was in his early 20s. Good dude, played semi pro baseball, and now works for Parks and Rec running baseball tournaments and shit.

The strip is a crazy place. You can just sit out there on the benches in front of Ceazers and you never know what crazy shit you will see when you are out there. Vegas attracts the craziest nutbags in the world, it can be entertaining as long as you are safe about it.
DO NOT just take your time when you are in the parking garages or back lots of the strip casinos, especially if you ladies venture out without the guys anywhere. The Strip isn't the safest place these days if you aren't alert and paying attention.
Gotcha. I like the 'special' reference. We get out during the day and go do other stuff like driving through the desert by-ways (sp?), seeing the Shelby museum, and other sightseeing things so we aren't stuck in a hotel or gambling the whole time. We come back in the early evening, have dinner then maybe catch a show or do a little gambling. There is a lot to see/do out there-any suggestions from someone who lived there for a while?
