Harrah's is pretty cool but if you decide to do any drinking don't go to the Carnival court outside! A 12 ounce can of Bud Light is $8 and the yard drinks are $30+. You can walk to O'Shea's right next door and beers are $2, no idea on shots but I bet they are about the same. This is assuming you aren't gambling a lot, you'll get plenty of free booze playing cards obviously.

Harrah's has a monorail station as well, pretty convenient way to hit both ends of the strip. It's cheaper than a cab ride but more than the bus, but a whole lot faster. The Deuce is like $5 (strip only bus service) and it's really the only way to get to downtown for the Fremont St stuff, where they have $3 shots of Cabo Wabo, $8 yards (probably a liter or more of frozen goodness) and $2 beers everywhere.

I didn't think it was a bad price. We got it for less because of our player's card, but we were able to get that rate for 'friends and family' so I thought I would offer it up as an option for others. The f&f rate is about $200 of their published rates-not a bad thing to fall back on.

*Oh, and for anyone who's thinking about using the above offer, all you have to pay for right now is the 1st night (35.20 total) and you can cancel up to 72 hours before arrival. The balance will be evaluated upon checkout based on your play and could be comped/reduced at that time. Might be better to lock those rates in now and see what else you can find. At least you'd have a guaranteed rate by reserving now.

We haven't stayed there so we're hoping it's decent and it's in a good location on the strip so we're pretty excited.

Definitely no joke ... I've lived quite the sheltered life from travel, cuisine, and anything else that requires more than just a little cash input LOL

Cool-yeah I know there are a shit ton of world-class restaurants out there. I just wondered if you had experienced any that you would personally try and hit. I'll check it out....
