And in that amount of time – this administration can’t build a working webpage.”

Then there is having the heart's and mind's of the people working behind you thing....

    • Got a response from Barton today:

      Dear Mr. C:

Thank you for taking the time to contact me. I consider it an honor to represent you in Washington DC.

Firstly, I am sorry to hear your company has dropped your current health insurance plan and that your premiums are rising. Sadly, I hear stories like this almost every day from people all over the 6th District. Premiums and deductibles are on the rise, while choices and care options dwindle. This was my biggest fear when Obamacare was passed. It is only now, four years on, that we are seeing the detrimental effects and false promises of this law as it hurts average Americans.

Since the start of the 113th Congress, I have continued to work for a full repeal of ObamaCare. I am a co-sponsor of 11 pieces of legislation which would repeal part or all of the health care law. On March 21, 2013, I voted in favor of both the Ryan Budget and the RSC Budget, both bills repealed ObamaCare. I was pleased that the Ryan Budget, H.Con.Res.25, passed the House by a vote of 221-207. On May 16, 2013, I voted for H.R. 45, another full repeal of the health care law. In addition to voting for the bill, I am also a co-sponsor, and was pleased when it passed in the House.

Most recently, I introduced H.R. 3348, the ObamaCare Choice Act of 2013. This bill has been referred to the House Committee on Ways and Means where it awaits further action. The goal of this piece of legislation is to remove the federal mandate that individuals purchase health insurance for 1 year; those who wish to get health insurance through the exchanges may do so while those who wish otherwise will not be penalized for not paying into a flawed system. I believe you should be in control of your medical decisions and additional government bureaucracy is not the way to creating a healthier people or economy.

As the debate goes on I will continue to support legislation which protects patient doctor relationships and keeps decisions about healthcare in your hands, not in the hands of bureaucrats in Washington. I look forward to continuing to work on your behalf to ensure a responsible use of taxpayer dollars as we strive to balance the budget.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact me. I consider it an honor to represent you in Washington DC.

      Sincerely,
      Joe Barton
      Member of Congress

You realize transparent and non-existent are two different things, right?

It's simple math, how did they not figure their insurance was going to sky rocket? How else was he to redistribute Healthcare to millions of illegals and broke dicks? REDISTRIBUTION of money from hard workers to govmt dependent slime has been this guys theme all along and will continue as long as he has the power.

Considering that they need 7 million people to sign up for this grand social experiment and they got 100,000 people who probably couldn't get insurance to sign up in the first month, the premium increase for everyone going into 2015 will be fucking huge.

Essentially political pressure on Congress is going to have to mount to the point that they can overcome the 75% majority in both houses needed to get past Naynay's daddy's veto power.

I honestly hope they can't repeal until after the 2016 election, this trainwreck needs to happen, it salts the earth against these idiotic social engineering programs.

                            Well, here it is:

On Tuesday, a study revealed that under the Affordable Care Act, rather than decreasing the cost of healthcare, some groups have experienced raises by as much as 78% in insurance premiums.

                            By Rachel Blevins via BenSwann.com

The study, conducted by HealthPocket, a nonpartisan health insurance research company, compared the average healthcare premiums before Obamacare was enacted in 2013, to the current average premiums in 2014.

According to the Washington Times, 23-year-olds in the study experienced the greatest increase in insurance premiums, with men “seeing an average 78.2 percent price increase before factoring in government subsidies, and women having their premiums rise 44.9 percent.”

The study also found that 30-year-olds experienced a dramatic increase, with men paying 73.4 percent more, and women paying 35.1 percent more.

The head of research and data at HealthPocket, Kev Coleman, said that the study was “very eye-opening in terms of the transformation occurring within the individual health insurance market.”

“I was surprised in general to see the differences in terms of the average premiums in the pre-reform and post-reform markets,” said Coleman. “It was a higher amount than I had anticipated.”

The Daily Caller reported that the major increase in insurance premiums for men can be explained by the fact that “Obamacare bans insurers from charging women more,” and by the fact that insurers are required to cover a plethora of services, even if the customers don’t want them, such as “maternity and newborn coverage,” for both men and women.

According to the Washington Times, the major increases among younger insurance buyers “could be a problem for Obamacare’s long-term solvency given that young people are needed to offset the higher costs associated with older policyholders.”
