    Why not stalking too?

    Sec. 42.072. STALKING. (a) A person commits an offense if the person, on more than one occasion and pursuant to the same scheme or course of conduct that is directed specifically at another person, knowingly engages in conduct that:
    (1) the actor knows or reasonably believes the other person will regard as threatening:
    (A) bodily injury or death for the other person;
    (B) bodily injury or death for a member of the other person's family or household or for an individual with whom the other person has a dating relationship; or
    (C) that an offense will be committed against the other person's property;
    (2) causes the other person, a member of the other person's family or household, or an individual with whom the other person has a dating relationship to be placed in fear of bodily injury or death or fear that an offense will be committed against the other person's property; and
    (3) would cause a reasonable person to fear:
    (A) bodily injury or death for himself or herself;
    (B) bodily injury or death for a member of the person's family or household or for an individual with whom the person has a dating relationship; or
    (C) that an offense will be committed against the person's property.
    That is with the assumption that the "lets meet and talk about this" and "handle it like men" are veiled threats.

        I wouldn't view that as a threat and good luck on getting a court to as well. You would need things like, I will beat your ass ect. in my opinion. The officer could always say he just wanted to talk to him.

            You don't think his boss would look at the totality of the circumstances? I know mine would. They would tell me to stop, I am sure that would be the end of it.
            Let's say that's the extent of it. Having a cops boss tell him to stop harassing g someone seems like it would be a great start to squashing the issue. What part are you not getting?

              Talk to him about what? Fucking his wife? He needs to talk to his wife and not be out harassing men that he thinks are fucking his old lady.

              I had a guy a while back that thought I was fucking his ex-wife, I told him to talk to her.

                The part that the OP brought this mess on himself and should handle it himself?

                  What about pulling up phone records?

                    I don't think he should talk to this guy at all. That is just what the guy stated to him. Maybe he just wants the truth so he can divorce this whore? Maybe he wants to do a 3some with his old lady? I have never screwed a married lady, not my problem and I am not dumb enough to get in the situation.

                        Using Dept resources for your own benefit. I know for a fact that's a major no-no for police.

                            Call someone at Fort Worth PD and see if they are interested in your story.

                            You named one, Harrassment. Here's the other:
                            "Police in Alaska use a state database of personal and often confidential information to make arrests and learn important information about the people they pull over during traffic stops. The network tells an officer if someone is listed as a missing person, or is wanted for a crime or if the car he or she is driving is stolen.

                            It's against the law for police to use the system for personal reasons."

                            Not because he had the OP's phone number - because he had the OP's ex-wife's work history information.

                              And it is, if he actually did. Everything I see posted are things anyone can get and don't need any resources at all. But if he did use police resources, he should lose his job.

                                You seem to be automatically assuming that 1: the OP did, in fact, do something wrong; and 2: the husband is a reasonable human being. You should not be assuming either.
