How to deal with harassment from a police officer?

Harassment is the closest thing he could attempt to go for. This is also a rocky situation for the OP. The wife could potentially turn on him as well. I would block both of them and move on.

That is with the assumption that the "lets meet and talk about this" and "handle it like men" are veiled threats.

I wouldn't view that as a threat and good luck on getting a court to as well. You would need things like, I will beat your ass ect. in my opinion. The officer could always say he just wanted to talk to him.

Why would they care if he isn't presenting himself as an officer? Has nothing to do with his job and from what the OP posted, I don't see a law that would cover that. So what exactly would they care?
