Thanks David! Yes, Jacob is excited about being a big brother, but being that he will be 11 when the new one arrives, I'm not sure how much he will enjoy it...

Not really sure what all I will need at this point. I know a mower and weed eater for sure. Not sure if I will want to use a walk behind (push or self propelled) or be lazy and buy a riding mower. May need hedge trimmers... Will have batter idea once foundation is poured and I can visualize what I will be dealing with.

Just threw out about a hookup for when the time comes, but it will be next year before I start any serious looking...

Check lawnmower repair shops and pawn shops for lawn equipment. Lawn mower shops sell used mowers during the winter to get them by. I picked up a damn near brand new McLane edger ($400 new) for $75 at a pawn shop.

I was 10 when my youngest sister was born. Helping with diapers, watching, feeding etc, gives you a taste or responsibility and understanding.

A decent split shaft weedeater with other attachments will cut down on the amount of extra engines you need. You can get blower, edger, hedge clipper attachments.

My son was 7 when my daughter was born. They are the best of friends, and extremely close. I do a lot of reading, and the popular consensus is that age gaps like that are a great thing. They don't get as jealous, the kids get along better, etc. And of course, they aren't interested in all of the same things, so there is less to fight/argue over.

lol, same here- guy is retired and just does it for the hell of it. Actually lives across the street and one over from me. Does easily half a dozen houses just on our street. So fucking worth the $35.
