Working in IT I deal with people from all over the world. The guys in Brazil that report to me are at least attending English classes and trying to learn. Sometimes I call them out and ask them wtf did they say. Then I show them the errors and why I could not understand them. They are eager to learn I give them credit. English is a pretty hard language to learn.
None of that excuses those who English is their first language.

I've known several very good people who can not spell or form a proper sentence to save their life.
