          Well, next week we are loading up the Miata and towing up to Wisconsin to race at Road America. I'm very much looking forward to racing on a more famous track, and not so much looking forward to WI temps in November.

          We repainted the car just for the trip. A couple teamates went to a Ray Wylie Hubbard concert, and told him about the idea, and he thought it was a great idea. He signed some t-shirts and hats for us to take, and sent us the PDF if we wanted to make more. Pretty cool dude.

          His song "Screw you, we're from Texas" will be played on a PA speaker, along with some good texas country.

              Yes, along with two coworkers. Transfer won't be complete for a while, but I'm signing a contract and getting share. If something falls through, I've got another plan in place.

                  I have been at my current job 5 months now and have already made the transition from warranty manager to builder. I got my first 4 houses to build yesterday, with a 5th coming within a month. I was also surprised to find that I will get a salary review at 6 months which was not discussed when I was hired on, only a 1 year

                            I'm here in Dallas for a conference this week, and got to spend time with my family this weekend. My niece and nephews are growing so fast, they are almost different kids each time. I'm going home with a hand-made birthday card for the fridge too. My batteries needed the over-due recharge.

                            When I get back, my GF surprised me, and booked a room down at Tenaya Lodge, just outside the south entrance to Yosemite. So I'll be spending my actual birthday in my favorite National Park.

                            Beyond that, life is going pretty smooth. We had a phenomenal Q3, so work is good, and my personal life is pretty darned spectacular as well.
