I couldn't find that. The officers said he lunged at them. The video says otherwise. He was standing still with his arms to his side. How can you lunged from 20 feet away? Are they so slow and fat that they couldn't move if he actually ran at them?

Not defending this situation since I was not there. But as officers we are taught of a 21ft potentially harm/lethal zone. Meaning that if a person with a knife, bat, tire iron, etc is within 21ft and they charge at you, the percentages of them making it to you and inflicting whatever harm is very high. If he had decided to charge them, the reaction time of drawing, correctly aim and discharging their pistols, the guy likely would've made it to them and could've stabbed one of the officers.

With that being said the video shows the officers walking towards the subject so they were putting themselves within that zone.

What is the zone when the subject isn't moving and you already have two people with guns pointed at him?
