    Sorry to hear it Matt.

I did the same thing in my '98 GT, turned on green into a civic. Middle of they day and I was stone sober, just not paying attention. ADD owns me.

When I read "DPD" I was scrolling down expecting to see a story about the po-po's pulling this drunk bitch out of her car, her fighting back, then they tasered her ass and beat the shit out of her.

          Now I'm a little disappointed. LOL !

I'm just kidding, Matt. Hopefully everything goes well for you on the insurance deal. Glad you guys were all ok.

A good friends of ours had the exact same thing happen to them last year minus the drunk driver part. They had a one month old white Tahoe and someone failed to yield, turning in front of them. The damage looks almost the exact same also. It wound up tweaking the frame and the ins. company totalled it. Luckily they had gotten a good deal on it and because it was so new, they got a couple more grand back for it than they paid for it.

I wasn't as lucky, my frame was tweaked as well, and my ins. had it fixed. Neve r drove the same afterward. I can't complain too loudly being that it was my fault.

The bigger SUV's are probably a much bigger pain to have the frame fixed though, with all the extra bopdy panels and innards to be realigned, and the stouter frame. Crazy to think that my $23k Mustang wasn't totalled, but a $40-$50k would be, but that's how it works I guess.

Damn Matt! Glad to hear you're ok. DO NOT take neck/back pains lightly!! Especially from a crash! I did at one time and paid the price for it, literally and figuratively.

glad you're okay and it wasn't worse.

Last week on Wed night at about 11:15pm, I was leaving work and getting onto I-35 northbound from Rendon-Crowley Rd, and had a Cavalier come flying up behind me and switch lanes almost clipping me from behind. My thoughts were "damn speed racer". I stayed in the far right lane and he was in the center lane, and all the sudden I see the Cavalier start swerving back and forth like there were imaginary cones in the road and he was auto-xing. I was then thinking "fuckin jackass is gonna lose it and roll the damn car". That's how bad he was swinging back and forth. THen all the sudden he turned hard to the right, then over-corrected too hard to the left and went straight into the concrete divider, hit that and then came back across 35 to the right shoulder.

I was just thinking the bastard got what he deserved, and I was in a hurry and almost kept going, but my conscious got me and I stopped behind him and called 911 and gave my story. EMS got there 1 min later. EMS goes to the car and then comes back and asks me if I saw anyone get out and take off. I said "nope", and they say the only guy in the car was no in the passenger seat saying he wasn't driving, and he was really drunk. They noticed he had 1 shoe on and the other was on the driver side lol. Major FAIL there. Gave FWPD my story and info and went on my way.
If I hadn't stopped it prob would've been longer before someone did since the guy was pulled off the side of the road and you couldn't see the front of the car, and no one was around when he hit.
