It's been a few years since I've been, but I took my son to Grapevine Mills Mall a few times 10 years or so ago. It was way better than going around neighborhoods (as an adult chaperone anyhow). At that time most stores participated and if they were they would put a pumpkin sign in their window.. All indoors, well-lit, and pretty good results.

I would imagine that the Park Cities or Swiss would be a clusterfuck.
Our neighbors are telling us they buy enough for 500 kids and sometimes run out, guess we'll see.Last edited by slow99; 10-17-2013, 07:58 AM.Originally posted by davbrucasI want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Because of parents busing their kids in and taking the candy that I had bought for neighborhood kids, I'm not doing it again. The 15 person van that pulled up last year was the killing blow.
I enjoyed being "That house" on the block where I dressed up for and scared the kids who came to the door - but people need to improve their own neighboorhoods and not decend on other ones like locusts.
People taking advantage of my goodwill is one sure way to exhaust it.

Probably won't bother handing out candy this year.
