That RC Pro Am game I mentioned, for the NES, is very similar to Mario Kart for SNES. Graphics aren't as good, of course, but the premise is basically the same.

I loved RC Pro Am. I didn't have it but the neighbor did. I use to play that shit all the time. Great game. Controls were a little tricky. I always forgot which truck I was.

It was a game just like it with stadium trucks. I loved that game. You had to turn the wheel (or spin it) like 3 times to bust a U turn.

Actually, same with me. I didn't have it either, but my best friend that lived about 8 houses down from me did. I played the shit out of it at his place. I also used to rent it from the video store by our house. They had a good selection of NES games, and were pretty cheap (like $0.99 for 3 days).

You may be thinking of Offroad. I loved that one too, especially in the arcade version. The steering wheel was free spinning and you would just whip it with one hand and let it spin on corners:

Yeah, that was RC Pro Am. The water would slow you down, the oil would make you spin.. Then there were engines and tires on the track that would upgrade you if you hit them.

I just remember forgetting which truck I was. And if I remember corectly, the orientation changed your controls.

I don't recall that. I think the controls stayed the same but because it wasn't first person and a static aerial shot, controls were only aligned properly when you were driving "up" on the screen.

So who did everyone play when they played tecmo bowl? I always went with the bears since payton was unstoppable and Gault outran everyone.

                                Miami was pretty good too.
