Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

she was also the assistant prosecuter for Dallas felony courts up until leaving to take the patent bar (and pass it).
She and one of partners at her firm were opposing counsel in a case I filed either earlier this year or in 2012, but I don't believe I ever spoke with her. I think we just exchanged emails or letters.

Hiring someone strictly for their set of skills or expertise makes no sense at all. We have to ensure diversity, regardless of capability.

This is the most telling statistic in this thread. Comparison should be minorities practicing law relative to minorities who have passed the Bar.

Total population has no relevance to practicing attorneys. It has clearly been established that there is a disproportionate number of practicing attorneys by race, as compared to the general population.

The real question should not be "why aren't practicing minority lawyers proportionate to the general population?" The question is: "why is there a disproportionate population, by race, of minorities pursuing a law degree and passing the Bar?"

Maybe this is why California is now allowing illegal immigrants to practice law.. To meet biased / flawed statistical standards.

So, the best test is: The percentage of attorneys employed by large firms, that are minorities, should be roughly equivalent to the percentage of licensed attorneys that are minorities.

After seeing what the libs are trying to do to our country, I vote for recalling any and all affirmative action type laws. They are like spoiled 10 year olds; never happy with what they have or what is given to them. If they want something, they can work their tails off; just like everyone else that doesn't get special treatment.

A lot of law firms around here seek black and hispanic attorneys to attract larger client base.
