  • Arlington PD!

Long story short. Not all cop stories are bad.

My friends apartment was robbed by his long time friend. He called Arlington PD and within 1 week we were at a storage facility with 4 detectives and 4 firefighters cutting a lock to get his stuff back. Unfortunately not everything was recovered but some of the irreplaceable stuff was. I could not believe how above and beyond they went. On a side note I recommend Master Lock's disc lock the FD or PD could not cut it they had to cut the door. I have video but it's a pain in the ass to post it.

    Disc locks can be cut.

What did they do, other than their job, to go over and above?

And why was the fire department there?

I wouldn't believe it myself. And yeah I thought 8 people to cut a lock was crazy but hey getting some of his stuff back was cool. I say above and beyond because instead of the usual take it to small claims court line that you hear about they called and followed through. They tried some big bolt cutters, but could not get them to grip. So a fire truck was dispatched. They brought a crew of 4 and used a dewault saw zaw to cut the door plate.

The word is, "Sawzall," and that's only if the tool in question is a Milwaukee product. What those gentlemen brought you was a reciprocating saw. Glad you got your stuff back.

The FD was unprepared, I guess. They should've taken a chop saw to the lock.

I'm surprised they cut into the door. Municipalities are usually more liability conscious about shit like that.
