Excel 2010-how can I add date and day into a cell?

I know ctrl+; will add the date but I need to have the date and day(sun-sat). Anyone know how?

You have to format the cells from the number tab to show days of the week, then use the fill handle to do all of the days in your table.

dddd mmmm/dd/yyyy

Or similar format.

Easy way right click on cell or row click on format cells, number tab and custom, then follow sample above.
