Probably somewhere up North with a small population and loose gun laws.

If I didn't have to work, I'd chill and surf in Huntington Beach CA.
If I'm being more realistic, I'd live and work in either Torrance or Chino CA. They're wildly different, but Torrance is full of hot rod stuff and near the beach while Chino is the epicenter of the aircraft resto industry and I'd like to do that. It stinks of dairy cows though, and has a prison. Hmm.
I like the desert and a quiet lifestyle too, so I could do Santa Fe, NM or maybe Holbrook AZ. I'd like to be a national park tour guide someday.
If this was open to international locales, I'd like to own/operate a hotel on the beach in Tulum, MX.When the government pays, the government controls.

Austin: Love the feel, hate the traffic.
Boulder: Mountains without being out in the wilderness.
Flagstaff: Just a really cool town, or it was 15 years ago when I was there.
San Diego: Loved visiting there, but I hear it's nicer to visit than to live.
Though I'm no kind of hippy myself, it seems I'm attracted to hippy-haven towns. I dunno.

Wouldn't mind that myself. Saw an awful lot of VERY cute women working the visitors centers in all those parks and monuments on that last trip. Target rich environment. I wish there was a nice big National Park within an hour or two of DFW. I think I'd be out there quite often.

Mind you, this is in retirement, the pay barely covers gas to get there and back. He lives in his 32' gooseneck trailer with pop-outs, so all the comforts of home, and only camps when he wants to.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.
