Why Shreveport? I'm just curious, I make trips there several times a month, maybe I'm missing something.

For continental US, I really was a fan of Humbolt County area north of SF, and I really liked Reno (not too far a drive to get into the mountains. Great for a weekend trip to Yosemite..etc).
Were you the one that was living in a converted cargo shipping container there? After reading were someone posted it, I started researching it, it is one hell of a cool idea, it had me thinking about doing the same in some areas where building permanent living quarters would not be feasible or economically sound.

When I was much younger I had planned on doing such, but meeting 'that special woman' and the subsequent divorce stifled that idea.

The ex-spouse's grandparents lived in Lake Charles, I loved it there and we were seriously considering moving there, but I lost the rights to live there in the divorce...

I liked Phoenix the few times I've been there and I was in Flagstaff on Monday/Tuesday and it seemed pretty nice too. Probably one of those two.

I've always kind of liked Albuquerque. Now that there's job openings for meth techs, I'm thinking of applying.

I've been all over the place, and besides the Dallas area, I really like certain parts of North Carolina, Kentucky, and those surrounding areas.

Boise. Santa Fe makes a close second. Portland, ME rounds out the top three.
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

Now being in a position where travel is involved, being centrally located is a big plus. I feel thats why Dallas is headquarters to many big name companies. I would hate to travel from the east to west coast often...

from here we are no more than a 3 hour plane ride anywhere.... Just wish we had cooler weather, mountains, and the ocean...and sand dunes........

Nope, I lived in a condo in Ewa Beach. I do recall seeing one for sale a few years ago that was done up quite nicely (I think on Maui) and was for sale with land quite cheaply. I may have posted that..I don't recall.

It's almost 4 hours to Sacramento, over 3 to San Diego and L.A., and NYC is even farther the other direction.

Seattle for me. I'm constantly looking for positions within my company that will allow me to relocate either to Seattle or Tacoma

                          No doubt about it.
Boring city, grew up there, visit every year. Things to do around it tho.

New York City, in a high rise with a view!
