I'd love to get back down to San Diego some day, and South Lake Tahoe would be a more affordable option.

Went there to look at a job with Boeing. Only thing that place has is the historic downtown and the ocean. The rest? Ghetto!

Kansas City Mo, or Lake Charles. Used to think about Chicago, but the more time I spend there, the less I like it. My sweetie doesn't like it, but I will NEVER live in Minnesota.

I'm flying to Detroit Monday. I'm actually very interested in seeing it first hand. I want to know how it compares to the common perception of it from the outside. I'll be driving to New Hudson though... Not sure if I'll get an accurate look or not.

So, I definitely miss Hawaii. Hilo was probably my favorite town there, although north shore, Haleiwa area is nice on Oahu.

For continental US, I really was a fan of Humbolt County area north of SF, and I really liked Reno (not too far a drive to get into the mountains. Great for a weekend trip to Yosemite..etc).

It isn't as bad as you would think, but it still sucks.

My answer would probably be somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. Maybe Big Sur.

That counts as the greater US.

                              North Richland Hills.

Actually, Pensacola, FL. I loved it the three years I lived there. Build me a nice, hurricane-resistant house and I'd be set.
