And don't try to squeeze 315's on the stock 8" wide wheels, that looks like shit too. 275's on the 8" wheels aren't terrible looking, and better than stock IMO. As wide as I would go though.
oh no I'm definitely not going to put 315's on without a wider wheel haha!!

I'm hoping to buy these cobra knock offs that I think he said are 10.5 in the back.

But either way, even if I have to throw some springs on there to save the look it's no biggy. I'll hopefully rent a spring compressor and pick up some used springs and bam! super-sexy-stang!

Springs are super easy to change on those.. Front's are only difficult if you don't have an impact wrench (strut tower bolt). Parts stores will "loan" you spring compressors for free.

If those are 04 Cobra replicas they're probably only 9" wide. 10" at most, as I recall seeing them available anyhow.

I know right? I can't even remember how many months it took for my first post cuz I didn't want to get ripped to pieces.

I have an impact gun I picked up from harbor freight, definitely packs a wallop but, I dunno if it'll have enough muscle for suspension work.

I did the ball joints all with hand tools though, so I can make it happen.

Well, hand tools, a torch, and the biggest breaker bar I've ever seen in my entire life, but still, no automatic tools

But on that topic... would I have to roll for 315's in the back? I was talking to a member who has some 315's, I didn't even think about fender rub at 315
Because for $35 you can do it right and it not look like asshole.

Why do you want 315's on a GT?

Said from a man who has a roller to rent. Might want to take him up on the offer. Just saying.

I dont, just might be able to get a good deal on em since I need new tires.

The strut tower nut isn't hard to break, you just need the impact action to get it to come off without trying to hold a allen wrench and box end. Trying with just a normal wrench it will just spin. Otherwise a breaker bar for your sockets to break loose some nuts, and maybe a pry bar or ratchet straps to hold the space open, is all you really need.

Over the years I have learned 95% of "car people" prefer to do thing as easily and cheaply as possible instead of doing things right.

Its all good, just means my tool stays in better shape.
