Go with the Black & Decker, not the Chinese one.

I have that exact Dewalt kit with a third battery. The drill is very light/powerful and the impact driver is a beast. My last Dewalt went 10yrs before the battery just got too old and would not last very long. Being lighter, smaller, and having the battery fully charged in 30-min isn't the only thing I like better than my old drill. This new one has a battery pack that goes on/off the drill with much less trouble.

We have dewalt cordless drills at work and I have been very disappointed with the battery life. We use them to drill a few holes and a handful of self taping screws per day and we don't even get a day out of the battery. I do not know the model number. After this I would not buy a dewalt if I was looking for a cordless drill.

I have the Milwaukee and its great. On the second set of batteries and they were replaced free of charge in Dallas, even though they were technically out of warranty. They last long and charge fast. I've had it about 8 years.

I don't know on the Dewalt, but sounds like others answered that above.

Ive got the 12v Milwaukee mostly because they have the 1/4" electric ratchet. The dill and driver work awesome and I use them daily for work.

Take all of the above with a grain of salt. How you charge the batteries, where you store them, etc; all has an impact on tool life. For home use, you really cant go wrong with either IMO. I love my DeWalt set. But I do keep a corded drill on hand, only because nobody makes a cordless drill that is up to certain tasks.

I've used both for work and I feel that Milwaukee is slighty higher quality. That being said I would be happy to have either brand and would go with what ever is cheaper or fits your needs better

                        This.

I used the DeWalt combo for almost ten years and the only issue I had was the bushings/bearings in the reciprocating saw.

This. Cordless drills are great for a few things, but I will take an old fashioned electric drill any day of the week. Electric drill and a 100' extension cord have never failed to get the job done for me.

Where is there warranty center? I have a battery that some times shows bad when I plug it in, if I run it for a few seconds before I put it on the charger it will charge. Been wanting to pick up a new one.

Makita, only way to go. I've destroyed many a tools welding. Hitachi, milwaukee, dewalt, harbor freight , but of all the tools I've destroyed makita was by far the toughest. Second I'd say Dewalt, but seriously, if you have the money go Makita.
