Doesn't look like a Bull Snake to me. Several different non venomous snakes shake their tail like a rattler, I've seen all kinds do it.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I said Rat, not bull. :-)

According to a guy on the site I posted these pics from, this one is a bull snake.

This one is a Rat snake.

I've seen the second one around my place many times. They are quick to coil up, rattle their tales at you and strike if you mess with them. Otherwise, they are harmless.

I know that, the person you quoted said Bull. I'm agreeing with you.

Second picture is a dead ringer just with no red in it. I will go with a ole rat snake. When I looked up bull snakes they were close to but the head was not as flat.
                        Whos your Daddy?

Very common around here. They hang close to creeks and won't hurt anyone. The wasp spray thing is jacked up. Hope it survives.

Surprising for any snakes to be moving around in this cold weather.

if the pupils are round, it's a rat snake
