Texas Rat Snake? Wife found this guy and he got away. Not sure I see anything worth worrying about with him and maybe he is a copperhead slayer for all I know. Having problems finding anything online. Wife described him as around 3' and grey in color....

Process of elimination is much easier:

      1. Rattler?
      2. Coral?
      3. Cottonmouth?
      4. Copperhead?

      Clear.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Yeah, guessing rat snake of some sort. Apparently they sprayed it with wasp spray too (just found out). A little bummed since last year we had a lot of copperheads - this year we don't and he is around. Not sure if there is a correlation, but I don't want him dead.

OK so what is this one. I pitched him back into a tree line. He did his tail like a rattler against the side of the building till I caught him. He was about four foot or a little under.

            Whos your Daddy?

That flat head looks like what I've always heard them called a spreadin nanner, spreading adder, hog nose.

Jason, that one is a bull snake. Twitching his tail, and the color combo is the key. Not dangerous, and will keep mice and rats eaten.

The first one kinda looks like a coach whip, but if so, he's the fattest one I've ever seen. Did he move extremely fast?

The checklist above is good, and the only snake with a smooth head we have that is venomous is the coral...I think. I've only seen one in my life.

Can some of you ship me these snakes? I have a chipmunk problem and would love to have a predator in my yard.
