  • Good for you, Forrest. I don't know that I'll ever get there. I think I will always drink in some capacity for work, and because I enjoy it. The other day, I did realize that I hadn't had a drink since Melanie was here last, which was over a month ago. I immediately remedied the situation.

        • Nonetheless brotha good luck to you on that front. As with breaking any addiction, it has to come from within. You have to WANT it in your heart. If your heart isn't in it, you WILL relapse. I'm struggling with my weight right now. I have put on 50 of the 90lbs I managed to lose within the last year. And my health is suffering cause of it
(BP and cholesterol). It's finally time for me to wake the fuck up and eat better and exercise more again. Anyways, again good luck!!

Sorry to hear that man, food can be a real bitch because, unlike alcohol, you can't completely walk away from eating. The addiction and reasoning for overeating is very much the same though, and you CAN overcome, evidenced by the many that have done so before you. Just get back in the saddle with new resolve, and never quit trying.

The irony of your post is that I put on about 20lbs when I quit drinking. I've just about gotten it all back off a year later.
