Why do woman lock their keys In the car?

My girlfriend had locked the keys in her car several times. The last time that involved me really pissed me off. We were due to meet with friends to leave out of town and running a little behind, she called to tell me she locked her keys in the car at her apartment. I promptly drove down, popped the lock, drove to the hardware store just up the street, had duplicates made, bought a hide-a-key and put under that bitch. I keep a hide-a-key on every vehicle I own stuck in some pain in the ass, non thought of location just in case I screw up. I keep a spare set of keys hidden in my boat in case I'm a dumb ass an manage to loose the the few times they actually come out of the ignition when I take it to one of the marina's or restaurants.
I will say that it doesn't happen nearly as often since the car she has now has keyless entry, but that bitch still has a hide-a-key just in case.
All that being said, it really wasn't her fault. She so rarely gets to come out of the kitchen that it's hard to remember little things like taking the keys out of the ignition before locking the door and closing it.

It took me about 30 minutes with a coat hanger to pop the lock on my door. It was my first time doing it so I imagine I could do it much faster if it happened again.

It seems all German cars I have dealt with were built that you had to lock the last door from the outside with the key so you couldn't lock them in. I know my 72 Capri is like that.
I sure wouldn't be sharing some of my tricks on this board like some of you. Its like the people who "check in" their location on FB every time they are away. Its like, "Hey, I'm not home right now. Feel free to steal my shit."
