xbox 360 red ringed again.....

buy a new one, or is something better out/coming out soon? i'm assuming it is because Jr turned off only the tv and forgot to turn off the 360 a couple of times leaving it running for a couple of days at a time.

Which quadrant? Put toothpicks in the fan blades, wrap it in a towel, let it overheat then cool back down. Fixed mine twice that way

I pulled Leah's sons apart and cleaned / reapplied the Heat Sink compound, then over heated it, and that fixed it. Took about an hour not counting cool down time. Found a you tube video on it.

Take it in the yard and shoot it seven times with a .40, but only seven. Worked every time!!

I just used Q tips and no towel. Overheated in a few minutes.

Mine redringed. Paid a guy to fix it and it worked for about 2 years. Red ringed again and I did the towel trick (minus the toothpick trick) and it fixed it for about 10 minutes.

It has a setting, but it has to be configured. It's not enabled out of the box.

Mine does, but it's the newer 360, not sure if the older ones, do. My ps3 doesn't turn off after a certain amount of time. I forgot to turn it off after playing GTA, passed out and woke up at 5 to notice it was still on and the fan was going full blast.

Yeah they've all had a sleep function built in, but you have to enable it.

my ps3 does, it also auto-updates and I saves my shit to the cloud.

can nayone tell me if the "new xbox" thats coming out will play the old 360 games? jr has about 4 billion games for the 360.
