            Did you buy a TDI?

Yep... We had decided against it but at the last possible minute we decided to give the TDI a shot.

Lubrication, I use 1qt per 25 gallons every other tank. Use the TW3 Ash-less you may also notice a slight increase in millage too.

Never noticed a difference in mileage after using diesel kleen in a 7.3, cummins or my Tdi's. I do however still use it.

It use to be 3yr/36k. Now I think its 2/24.

The 13's had 3yr/36k "no charge service". The 14's went to 2yr/24k service. But they all have 5yr/60 power train warranty like most other brands. We had a CRV that we put 55k on in 2 years. So we bought the TDI and then bought the 5yr/100k mile "bumper to bumper". Never bought a warranty before but not sure what to expect from a VW so figured it might be worth it.

It is surprising how much room they have inside and the mpg's are really nice! Only has 500 miles on it but the computer (not 100% accurate I know) shows 42.8 with a combo of city and highway.

                          '01 Excursion 7.3, 4X4, 140k miles

Mostly Wal-Mart, or H-E-B if I'm in Austin. Filled up a few weeks ago at WM for ~$3.60/gal. I use Diesel Kleen every other tank, and it definitely boosts my mileage. Generally I only drive it if I'm going to Austin or further, so it's easy to keep track of.

So far diesel Kleen seems to be the additive of choice. Some say every tank and others say every once in a while?

                                yikes @ the GT

with that said, I would run a lubricity additive. Power Service in the gray/silver bottle is the best mix of increased lubricity and ready availability that I've found
