  • Diesel fuel buyers...where do you fill up?

Never owned a diesel and I know some owners claim different stations are known to sell good or bad quality diesel. So where (what company) do you prefer to get your diesel from?

My advice is fill up at the same place if you can. Save your receipts. That way if you have an issue, you can go back on them.

If you have a common rail, I would use a fuel additive for lubricity

That was going to be my next question. Additives or not?

I usually go to QT or HEB. I just avoid the little tiny gas stations. I feel like they'd be more risky.

          Run some DIESEL KLEEN, too.

The winter version have an anti gel agent? Or is that even an issue in this part of the country?

pretty much the only difference in the two. The anti-gel.
hell, it maybe an issue, depends on what year it is.

Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane Boost prevents fuel gelling and protects against fuel-filter icing in diesel fuel engines.

It's got plenty of add from the rack it was loaded out of.

I always go to the AllSups in Justin or the Valero station at 35W/114. I occasionally throw a qt. of 2-cycle oil in with a fill-up.

What does the 2 cycle oil do?

No need for anti-gel in our part of the world. Winter blend fuel covers it. I run power service silver year round.

Walmart...they go through quite a bit of diesel as they are one of the few stations right around me with diesel.
