I have a Dyson DC28 Animal. Definitely does a great job, and everything is easy to use on it.

We love our rainbow. Not only does it suck the chrome off a receiver hitch but it also freshens the air at the same time....

Another vote for Dyson. I do not have any indoor animals so no need for the Animal. I think mine is a DC21. Definitely on the lower end of the price range for Dyson's but still pricey. Think I paid around $200-250 for mine and worth every penny of it.

Have you considered shaving the dogs?

Got the same one here, been good so far. Used to have a Dyson, as well. Once this Hoover dies I'm getting another Dyson.

I have a Riccar. 5 or 6 filters (hepa), American made, lifetime warranty on motor, strong suction, well made etc...

You'd have to pick up a used one but Evans Vacuum sells them.

I had a Dyson and it was junk. Wouldn't pick up worth a shit after the first few uses, and eventually, some of the plastic tabs and shit started to break. I know everyone here loves them, but pretty much everyone I talk to off this board has had the same experience with them as I have. I'll never own another one, even if they were 1/2 the price.

My dyson was great while it worked, than their warranty wouldn't replaced what failed.

So I bought a Shark Navigator.

I will not own anything but a Dyson. Easy maintenance and the woman gets off her ass to use it.

Another Dyson vote. I can understand folks thinking they are overpriced but they do a better job than anything else out there.

Keep an eye on Woot.com. They put refurbs on sale at least once a week..

Mine didn't. I've had a few sub $100 vacuums that did better.

We have a Dyson, and it's great. It was $350 new on sale. It's a good unit, but we got tired of hauling it up and down the stairs all the time. I went to Target and bought this.

They have a larger size one too. It doesn't 'steer' as well as the Dyson, but I think it actually cleans better. It's a fraction of the price too.
