I seem to only have an issue every 2 years, but when I do, I just get prepared to be frustrated all day! I love Fios except when I do have a rare issue.

Same thing with AT&T Uverse. Only have a prob every couple of years, but when I do, good god. I'm going to make 5 or 6 phone calls that last 45 minutes each.

Here in Afg, I am on a VOIP with a stateside number. So no worry there. Now that same call would have cost me $200 plus on my Afghan cell phone though.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

Spent over an hour and a half on the phone with the IRS, once a day, all last week and Monday of this week. I like how the automated system says "your hold time will be greater than 15 minutes".. but doesn't fucking say you'll be on hold for 48 minutes before reaching the operator who is short and pissy with you, just to transfer you into another queue where you wait another 45 minutes to speak to the dolt in the department that *might* be able to help you.

          fuuuuuucccccckkkkkkk

I had the same problem witg PayPal. If you search the company there might be an anti travelocity site that will list the names and direct numbers of employees higher up the food chain, making getting shit done much faster.

I'll forward my home phone to the cell before I call just in case another important call comes in, put the hold call on speaker, and go about my day. I dont' recall being on hold more than 15 minutes or so though.

Sounds like the VA but at least they let you hold your spot in line and hang up with the system calling you back when you are next in line.

Unless you didn't throw the extra coin for the upgrade on the base sammich maker/dishwasher model.

Hell, I'm single now and still get someone else to handle that shit.

My threshold is only 3 minutes, IF I have to actually handle it.
