  • Sitting on hold

What is your threshold before you hang up? I have been on hold with Travelocity for over 30 minutes so far. Now it has become a matter of principle.

I can't wait until Ranjeet Singh answers the line and I won't be able to understand a fucking thing he says.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

It's a real pet peeve of mine, so you're about 25 minutes beyond my threshold.

Maybe 8 or 9 minutes at the most unless it is something vital. I've been on hold over an hour before only to have the woman argue with me for 30 seconds and hang up on me. I was almost on the news that day.

Fucking Travelocity, again, pulled that same shit on me in Dubai on a very expensive long distance phone call. 45 minutes on hold, 5 minutes talking to some Indian until he pissed me off more "let me speak to your supervisor". He left me back on hold for 5 minutes before fucking hanging up on me. That hour call cost me over $150 and I didn't get anything resolved.

Hell I got thru to American Airlines in just a few minutes.

40 minutes and I get a guy named Jason that speaks no fucking English.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Customer service is such a joke these days that someone could practically build a business soley off providing EXCELLENT service. Used to, it was more common so you had good service but what about products? Now days, people are almost willing to comprimise on what they are looking for just to get good service.

Once airline web site might be an extra $50 or $100, but they offer EXCELLENT service, versus a budget site....which one are you chosing?

5 minutes, unless it's the IRS. In that case it's 3+ hours since I don't have a choice. It takes precisely 7 months for them to reply to snail mail.

In 7 years I have spent over $50,000 with Travelocity - never again, NEVER.

This call took me an hour and 18 minutes and felt like a raw fucking. After a few minutes with level two customer service I asked for a supervisor. They wanted to (and did) charge me $200 a ticket (x3) just to change my outbound tickets. Plus the difference in fare, which I am fine with.

Supervisor gave me the same song and dance, change fee stands, charged by the airline. Of course they appreciate my business, past and present. So I told him to put me on hold and call the airlines and push to get it waved. He probably sat back and watched a Bollywood flick and got back on the phone. No sir sorry sir, no possible to dismiss change fee {say it like an Indian named Baboo.

Another $1,200 into this trip and I feel like Clark Griswold. This family better fucking enjoy this trip.

I hate talking on the phone, so I try to keep it short as possible depending on the situation. That being said, anytime I have a problem with Verizon Fios, it seems to take several phone calls, a total of an hour on hold, and at least 24 hours before the problem is fixed. I seem to only have an issue every 2 years, but when I do, I just get prepared to be frustrated all day! I love Fios except when I do have a rare issue.

If I am on hold for more than 5 minutes I hang up and call back to let them know my call got dropped. If they continue to put me on hold, I make sure they take care of me (At&t, etc..)

This only works with systems that let you talk to someone. Travelocity was 41 minutes before the first real person came on the phone. Automated system, elevator music and constant "we appreciate your business. the next available representative will be with you momentarily". Apparently "momentarily" means in an hour.

Oh, well in that case it goes to speaker. Unless it is a surprise, why didn't you just have your wife handle it to avoid the international charges?
