Mom had one of those vans, honestly a pretty good car. Quicker than you would think too.

          • Man, safe to say that the idea of a daily driver is very different for a lot of people.

We bought it new, and I've done all the service work on it. I had someone do the timing belt, but I've put 2 sets of plugs in it, changed the belts, all the fluids, serviced the transmission, brakes, etc., and changed the oil religiously. I have two kids playing baseball (6 & 10), and I coach, so there's a lot of crap in the back. It still rides nicely and is reliable (just took it to Colorado this summer).

The only complaint I have is that the driver's window came loose when the clips holding it to the regulator broke. Toyota won't sell just the clips. They want me to buy a new window for like $275. I found some crappy, generic ones that halfway work for $8, but the window still comes loose sometimes. I bought some adhesive to try this weekend with the clips to see if it solves my troubles. The only money I've spent on it for repairs has been the A/C compressor and a hose. Knock on wood, but that's not too bad. It used to get 30+ mpg on the highway too before the watered down gas.

              • Go to the junk yard and get the clips from another van

Good idea. If this adhesive doesn't work, that's what I'll do. Thanks!

Well, if you drive it every day, what difference does it make what it is? A daily is a daily.

                            • I'm really not sure what you're getting at. I'm just saying that the types of cars we drive daily varies pretty good.
