Early android was shit.. period.. It was a new OS...
The latest stuff is pretty solid.
"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"
-- Thomas Jefferson, 1 Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
The S4 is significantly better than the S4 Active.
How so? Better camera?
For my use, the Active trumps the regular S4 all day. I can get it dirty and rinse it off, get pushed in the pool, drop it in the toilet, dunk it in a cup of booze, take pictures underwater, etc. Plus, I really like the real buttons at the bottom over the finicky virtual buttons.
I think you're mistaken. Everything I can find says otherwise.
Quoted from one of many tech sites saying the same thing:
The S4 Active packs the same processor configuration that is found in the LTE variant of Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) including Snapdragon 600 chipset with quad-core Krait 300 processor (clocked at 1.9GHz), 2GB of RAM and Adreno 320 GPU.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active shares many qualities with the flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone: both phones have a 5in Full HD screen, 1.9GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage

Ah. The stuff I heard before its release and the article I found comparing them said they both had 1.9 GHz processors but the Active's a different, inferior chip.
