I do it once when I first get them, but not after that initial time. Usually only the top eye or two ever get twisted after that.

I do it too. I also lace them outside over inside. I've done it since my days in the Corps along with several other nuances.

I also make sure they all cross over the same way as a habit I picked up from the Army.

Man I haven't been able to find these shoes locally these past few years. Black laces across instead of crisscross, white shoe with black stripes. Always bought the same style since highschool.
