Very valid point...I guess there's multiple views. But I wouldn't say that's the most important because in the engineering world...thinking that way is a really fast way to overrun budgets and delve into scope creep. I know a few really smart engineers that if given the chance would still be working on a design from 30 years ago if given the chance to explore all aveneus. 2+2=4...but wait maybe 2+2=sqrt16? No one wants a million dollar answer to a hundred dollar problem.

Yeah been quite some time. Moving in good directions and getting a masters in engineering and tech managent. My retirement is going well and growing. I also took the advice to buy a house over a kick ass car:/

Congrats on the job and the Masters. Life is great, landed a phenomenal gig doing exactly what I wanted...the pay ain't bad either! At the end of the day, doing what you love is the most important thing.
