28 and lived there a little over 11 years. Would've like to have kept it and rented it out but I didn't want to mess with it.

Current market houses are selling for more than asking price. The competition is insane.

              I was 34?

It's a shack. I still own it. Don't really see myself getting rid of it because property taxes are cheap and we like the location. It's paid for and it's actually a nice little cheap get away in the winter

30k more? You can't get a loan for my than appraise value and having that kind of revolving cash for the average home buyer is rare, since you would have to come out of pocket with that much of a down payment.

Valid point, I could see that as a viable reason for some of it.

Personally, 24 and still in it.

Business, I've seen as low as 21 and as old as 45 buying their first home ranging in price from $100,000 on up to $550,000. Most move every 7 years, but I've had several people do it in 2-3 and a couple have done it two years in a row.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

25 and I'm 32 now and just sold it last month.
You remember the stories John use to tell us about the the three chinamen playing Fantan? This guy runs up to them and says, "Hey, the world's coming to an end!" and the first one says, "Well, I best go to the mission and pray," and the second one says, "Well, hell, I'm gonna go and buy me a case of Mezcal and six whores," and the third one says "Well, I'm gonna finish the game." I shall finish the game, Doc.

                                29.

                                Don't own one.

I liked the ideas of no ties to anything if I wanted to go. I know a few people that have told me buying a house was the worst decision they ever made. That has kept me hesitant for a bit but I plan to be in the market next year or year after. Starting late but I want land and ill die there
