Anyone ever use one of the hand held tuners and an "Out of the box" tune on a 2010 Shelby ? How did it work. The car is box stock with 27,000 well cared for miles. Do you really get that much extra HP and torque ?

I would suggest at least getting some datalogging while on a dyno and having the tune developed from that information rather than using a generic out-of-the-box tune. Many times those seem to (or at least used to) tend toward leaning out the A/F ratio more than might be desirable.

Lots of good tuners out there who have tunes that will be safe, but at the same time a mail order tune might be leaving some on the table.
John Lund and VMP racing offer great mail order tunes. If you tell them everything you have as far as mods they will be able to work it out. You will pick up a lot of power even if your car will be tune only. Adding a intake and ORX/H and a pulley will gain you a lot of hp.
