On the road trip I just took, I drove 4600 miles, a lot through crazy mountains, plenty of spirited driving, and at over 80-90 mph. The 5.0 averaged 24.4 mpg.

That is the one thing I didn't like about the focus, its back seat is pretty tight as well. Compared to the GTI which is a smaller car, the GTI has plenty of room for four adults.

I don't plan on sitting in the backseat. I think when a dealership has a fiesta in the showroom and somebody wants to drive it, they just grab a couple of guys to pick it up and move it outside

I test drove the Fiesta ST and the Focus ST at a Ford event at Cowboys stadium weekend before last. Pretty damn fun little cars. I flogged them around a tight autocross type course in one of the large parking lots. The turn-in and nimbleness of both cars was fun. Very tossable and the engine had decent pep under boost. I think either of them would make a fun daily driver.Ford

I had a 2013 Focus not a ST but was still a nice car. Really liked the car and it got great mileage 31-32 which was a plus since my commute is about 100 miles a day. I had a ton of issues with it. I guess to some people they would be minor but it was a drag to me to have a car 6 months old and spend a hour a day minimum in it to have the following issues.
1.Clutches in trans replaced.
2. Right side struts replaced 3 times.
3. Left side replaced twice.
4. Lower control arms replaced.
5. Sync would stop working randomly.

I think Sync is just a general problem across all the Ford line up. I've had to dick with mine a few times, but have always been able to get it back online without going to the dealer. The voice recognition has about a 30% success rate. Probably the thing I'm least satisfied with with the Mustang.

Now the voice commands drive me up the fucking wall lol. I just do everything manually when I drive it.
Other than a lil shutter from the trans on rare occasion it's been great. But it only does when we are stuck in shitty stop and go traffic for a long time.Non tapatalk Sig so the butt hurt va-JJs can stop crying about not being able to turn it off.
