    The flu shot hasnt made you sick in MANY years since they started giving a sinthedic form of the flu, tricking the body into thinking you have it. For those that got the shot and got sicker than the dog...the shot and the strain of the flu may not be a match being that the vaccine is usually produced before we know the strain of flu. Having said that, if you vaccinate every year, you build ammunities to several strains.

              Of course each year a "new" vaccine is created, they always find new types of flu. This years is the Quadrivalent Formula, still being used is the Trivalent as well.
