  • I haven't had that No-Li but it sounds very interesting. All of the ingredients were sourced within 300 miles of the brewery. That's something you can't really do in Texas!

      The No -Li is really good and hoppy-try it can't go wrong for the price.

      The Le Freak was very different. A Belgium style IPA and it sat me back nicely after one bomber. Paired well with my steak last night.

      • If any of the six of you that still follow this thread are looking for another pumpkin beer worth trying, I highly recommend Uinta's Oak Jacked Imperial Pumpkin Ale. It's a little on the pricy side, but worth it. The bottle is pretty easy to spot.

              • Finally cracked this Mikkeler coffee stout open, might be one of the boozier coffee stouts I've tasted, almost a bourbon-y aftertaste. Good for the weather, getting better as it warms to room temp.

                      • I grabbed some Double Bastard along with some Arrogant Bastard and a few Xocoveza's at Costco yesterday at a great price. Then went to Central Market and found some Jester King Mad Meg, Das Wunderkind! and Commercial Suicide. I've never had any JK products, so I'm pretty excited about that. Also got some Deep Ellum Oak Cliff Coffee ale, which is excellent.

                        Spec's Eastchase had plenty of bourbon barrel Narwahl, but for $25 a bomber, they can keep it.

                        • Lucky Basartd is also in stores now, it's a mix of all the versions and I believe barrel aged.

                          JK is the main reason distribution laws in Texas changed. Most of their beers are only sold on site and they are all far from conventional. I've got a bottle of Encendia and Nocturn Chrysalis in my fridge I need to open soon.

                                Slowhand, watch those Prairies. Make sure you refrigerate them for a good 24 hours before opening. I've seen a few that were literally bombs! It's a great brewery but they are pushing out so much product so fast that it's still fermenting in the bottles. Which is fine if you use bottles that can handle the pressure, unfortunately some of theirs can't.
