Stone's Ruinten is awesome if you can find it. It's just a double IPA but 10.8% abv and affordable.
Also had a growler of Southern Star's Black Crack this weekend. My wife absolutely loved it. It's a good beer for sure but $$$$. A little thin bodied for the style and in my opinion the bourbon flavor takes over. It's like a spicy coffee with a shot of bourbon to me.
And I had Martin House's Salty Lady, which is a Gose style. I haven't had many of those types of beers so I don't know what it's supposed to taste like. It was interesting, almost like a Shandy. I think it'd be spectacular aged in mezcal or tequila barrels though.
I got a couple free tickets to this from a TCU alum that is performing. Anyone else going?
We're debating it. I think it would be a blast and would like to see Cursed Diamond. For anyone else interested, if you hit up Four Corners tap room M-F, 5-10pm, they're supposed to have free tickets for admission.
Craft and Growler over in Fair Park may have the best selection in Dallas right now; it's certainly the most current with regards to with where beer is at right now and not just figuring out where it was 3 years ago. I was in there last weekend and not only was their draft menu stacked with great out of market brews, but their bomber selection was at least 50% new from when I had been in a month before and had some really choice beers:
Jolly Pumpkin: Calabaza Boreal, Biere de Mars, Oro de Calabaza
Grainstorm Black IPA
Prairie Wine Barrel Noir, Funky Gold Mosaic, and Birra

Throw in some recent Jester King releases and you'd be the beer king of any haul I've seen lately. Oklahoma finally has something worth drinking with those Prairie beers. Jolly Pumpkin just hit the Texas market.
Craft and Growler is the only place in Dallas I know of that has Panther City beers right now. Luck should have some this week but they got it first.
Having a rough week and then spent 12 hours at the office today in one of those "no one gets out alive until we're done" war-room sessions. Came home to a bottle of bourbon and a stocked beer fridge. I will put my wife up against anyone in the world for the "best spouse in history" award.

Karbach Hopadillo IPA
