Why the hell is Sculpin IPA so damn expensive!? I've noticed this everywhere I go.

It's a great brew. Blanco's The Devil's Backbone is also a belgian trippell and also pretty good, at a cheaper price point.

      • is anyone into chili pepper beer? No Label Brewing's seasonal is Don Jalepeno, which is a pale ale brewed with a ton of fresh japs. Pretty awesome stuff.

        • Sounds delicious!

I had a resin IPA last night, the guy at thebstorr warned me about how it was a bad choice for someone who isn't a total IPA freak, but it wasn't even that strong of a hop flavor. Maybe he was just a weenie. Still a damn good beer. Brewed in NY (I know..) So not sure if y'all would have it down that way

I had that at bluebonnet and did not like it at all, but I've never liked any pepper beer I've tried.

we have all of the sixpoint stuff down here. i frequently get the 16oz bengali tigers at one of my local stores, although i've kind of lost my taste for that one.

the global warmer is pretty good

Try their V-12 if you can, it's similar but with an even higher ABV.

                  • any recs on lagers and pilsners? i'm growing tired of all the hoppy stuff. i've always liked the lighter, crisper, and refreshing qualities of a lager, and with summer coming up it only makes sense to start exploring those styles. no wheat beer either, have had enough of those as well.

                    • I tried a few community vienna lagers on draft and I will order them next time I go back.

                      • Went with a six of Brooklyn lager. Ehh. It's not much different than a miller lite or other besides the slight bitter finish. I really like spaten, warsteiner, and other German brews, but like to find something American worth a shit. But that's how it goes with beer drinking, drink many beers you don't care for to find the good ones

I'm digging on Odell IPA. I'm gonna have to find this. I live in BFE, are there any sites you know of to order this beer online.
