We went to Martin House last night for a Jeep event and they had Apricot Delight on. It's their version of a NEIPA and it's heavy on the milkshake side. I freaking loved that beer, on par with any of the style I've had. Looking on untapped it's only been checked in 6 times so I'm guessing it's pretty rare.
The new trendy beer to make is a Brut IPA. It's a super clear and dry IPA. I'm guessing some people are using a variety of champagne yeast as well. I've only tried one and was not a huge fan. Kind of exactly the opposite of a NEIPA. Regardless expect to see a few of these in the next couple of months.

Cowtown Brewing finally opened this weekend on the east side of downtown Fort Worth. We went right at opening on Friday and I was impressed with everything I tried. The tap wall is IPA heavy as all good breweries should be.
Big D BBQ is one of the investors and they have one of their pits outside but no food permit yet. So eventually they'll have a huge patio with decent BBQ to go with the beer.
Anyway I liked the place and will go back.

Edit: They had 3 or 4 IPAs on tap...some fruit beer, another overly hopped citrus something or another and the full grown man. Just when then craze of using too many hops to cover up mistakes starts to die down...they bring it back.
