  • Employer reducing Employees hourly rate on final check ?

I received a call from a family member last night stating that their employer reduced their hourly rate by $3.00 per hour on their last check. Said family member quit without notice , employer was not happy about it and reduced rate on their final check..

I know this is a coward move, but is it legal?

I know you cant reduce or altar hours. Not 100% sure about rate..

Woah... there are more details to this story and why said family member quit. I said quit without notice, not warning.

I've seen companies have in the signed employment contract where if someone doesn't give two weeks notice that they will only pay minimum wage for any remaining hours.

If it's in the contract she signed, she's hosed.
