I'm in Stonebridge and it blows. I'm ready to throw McKinney the deuce.
I lived in Stonebridge for 23 years and it depends on who is on your neighborhood HOA and how well you get along with your neighbors. I used to load my race car at 7am on Sunday morning with barely muffled headers and no one complained. I pulled several engines in the driveway and did a 4 year restoration on a car with parts scattered around the front yard (but always cleaned up at night) and no one complained. I kept my lawn mowed and the outside of my house neat.
Yes, i was "that" neighbor but they knew that they could call me when their car/lawnmower would not start or they needed something cut down with a chainsaw.
The only time the HOA got on my case was when the back of our house needed some wood replaced and painted and I was being a lazy ass about getting it done.
I do know that some neighborhoods have a pain in the ass HOA representative so maybe you need to take a couple of beers up there and make friends.
McKinney has changed A LOT in the last 10 years. We're in one of the older SB neighborhoods and the demographics almost make it unrecognizable. One of my neighbors is alright, the rest I have no use for.
