And I have plenty of experience with 97+ f150s and 99+ GM full size trucks to know they run just as long or even longer. Stop drinking the Toyota kool-aid. BTW I own a late model Toyota as well (and it was built in Japan). Their quality isn't superior like it use to be.
I was referring to domestic branded trucks. Toyota quality isn't as good as it used to be but they still build a better car than the domestic offerings. As I said, my brothers 135k mile Tacoma almost feels new, I can't say the same for the higher mile domestic trucks. The interior materials they use in the domestic trucks just isn't that great. I have noticed domestic manufactures changing how they build a car, so they are addressing the issue of the cheap plastic interior. As for the motors, Toyota hasn't put out an unreliable truck motor in the US in decades. Can't really say the same for ford or gm.

I'd put the interior durability of my 00 gmc against any other truck made. 230k on the clock and it has 2 small chips in the paint on the dash. Not a crack one. The only other issues are small stains that are previous user error and no fault of manufacturing.

In my opinion jap cars/trucks have always had shitty dated interiors. Expensive ass Sequoia feels like an '80s mini truck. My boys Tundra feels very cheap, door panels, dash, seats.
I looked at both GM and Ram before I bought a truck and all three were light years nicer than his '12 Tundra....

Big trucks get better gas mileage than the mid size trucks now days. Frontier, Taco and any thing with the big 6 cyl in it get crappy gas mileage.

Tacoma is too damn small for fatties. Jared says he likes them but that is probably from the outside 'cause I can barely fit in one.
