I'm asking because A Regular customers I see at my job every day. He is a store manager at the West Illinois store. He said he was getting transferred to another store in need of an assistant ASAP. Everything he told me about the company sounded good. I went ahead and my application online last night.
So I'm really thinking about changing jobs. The company I currently work for now Seems to have totally stopped promoting from within the company. So I'm looking to go somewhere where I can have a better chance of advancement. The problem also with this company I currently work for is no one ever quits. No one ever dies. No one ever gets fired. Same people same position for the last Century.
A few questions I have for you current and former O'Reilly employees.
•Realistically how well does the company promote from within?
• How good Are the purchase discounts for employees?
• And realistically what do you think they will start me off as an assistant store manager As far as salary? I have nearly 20 years of retail experience. 15 of those as a manager. And I know it's Based on dozens of different Criteria's. It's going to very differently Person-to-person. State to state. Tell depends on the guy giving the interview he's having a good day or not.
Any helpful answers will be greatly appreciated thank you.
