  • 03-04 Mystic Cobra or 96-02 Viper Gts

So I have decided, I want to save up and get a garage car that I plan to hold onto for a while. It would be a low mile car that I drive on nice days to cruise or go to car events ect. I have always wanted a Viper Gts, even though they are sluggish. I think either would be a good collector car. I have also wanted a Mystichrome vert as well. Both I nut all over when I see them. I am now married, and I know I will only be able to get one. What do you sacks of shit think?

      Definitely a 2003 Mystichrome...since they don't exist.

I have owned many fox bodies in my time. I know with 5k it would slaughter these cars on the track, but isn't really what I am looking for. I would most likely keep these cars close to stock, other than wheels and exhaust. I am more so looking for a collector car with low miles and that sounds and looks good. Not into 60s era mustangs either. Those things are everywhere. Maybe I can talk someone down on these cars and still have enough cash for some blow, hookers and good lawyer?

Definitely not the Dodge plastic POS. Get the Mystichrome, but in coupe not vert.

Viper is definitely pulling away. What would your choices be? Growing up, I always loved the viper. Then I owned a terminator and have missed it since. So either I would be very happy with I think. I see other cars I like, but not enough for me to actually have the will power to save my money for.

Having spent some seat in a 04 Viper and having owned a 03 cobra it is easy for me to know which one I enjoyed driving the most.

Turning heads and dealing with every idiot trying to race you in a viper would get old. I liked driving the cobra more than my GT500 also.

I would not own a viper, but I do like the looks of the GTS versions

My choice for a toy in that price range? I'd be looking for another '69 Charger, but that's just me. Personally, neither of those cars are very exciting, but that's just my taste. They're certainly nice cars, and I like them, just wouldn't be something I went after myself.

As a 97 GTS viper owner, I will tell you it is an absolute POS.

Dear god I love the car though.

They can be money pits on some things, regular prices on others. If you plan on making up to 900hp get a 96-99. Skip 2000 no matter what, and 2001-02 had abs but weaker internals.

Don't be afraid to look at 04/05's etc. They can be had around the same price.

Mustang will be a lot less to go fast and maintain... Just it's a fucking mustang that for the most part looks exactly the same as every other mustang.

I would consider a cobra a beater DD car, the viper a drive to work on Friday and cruise on a nice Saturday car.

IF you do decide to get a viper, just be warned your penis will shrink to about 1" long when fully erect.
