I walked my 2 younger boys to school - kinder & 5th grade. My 8th grader got a ride with his buddy and his dad. It's official...my wife is officially "retired" from 8am to 3:30pm. No kids to take care of - just a day full of "errands" and "meetings" over lunch or whatever.
Mine start 10th and 6th tomorrow. It's great now, all we have to do is drop them at the curb at this age. No more walking them to the class for the first day.
I couldn't be in two places at once, so I chose to go with my daughter this morning. She's in Kinder, and my son started Jr High. He wasn't really happy that I took his sister instead of him. That little bastard better be at school if he knows what is good for him.

But, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.

Today was the only time I will be able to take my boys to school and drop them off at the same school. My oldest started 5th grade today and my youngest started kindergarten. This is the only year they'll attend the same school. It was fun seeing how the oldest knows everyone at school, his way around, etc. and the youngest was actually filled with a nervous excitement. I'm just hoping to not have a call from an upset teacher because he threw a fit...
